Ever since I was a small kid I wanted to go to Scotland. I always imagined it as a mysterious part of the world with myths and legends combined with beautiful and raw nature. Now I have finally seen it and it did not dissapoint me. I have walked the famous West Highland Way in Scotland from Milngavie to Fort William. It took my dad and me 9 days to hike the 152 km through a very divers and beautiful landscape.
We have walked through mossy forests, walked along Scotland’s biggest lake, crossed desolate mountain passes with big snowy peaks and experienced all kinds of weather. We found warmth in Scotland’s pubs and in the kindness of the local people. To do this with my dad was also very special and I am proud that we have finished the trail. Of course I have taken a lot of pictures and to give you an impression of how it is like, I have made this photo essay. I hope you enjoy!
